Women’s Protection and Empowerment (WPE) Learning Briefs: Irish Aid Strategic Partnership
These learning briefs were created through the Women’s Protection and Empowerment (WPE) IRISH AID-IRC STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIP. The purpose of the briefs is to share learning from an annual WPE forum which explores three themes of inclusion, accountability, and adaptability in relation to Gender Based Violence (GBV) prevention and response programming in acute and protracted emergencies. Each year from 2014, the Irish Aid IRC Strategic Partnership has promoted technical excellence through south-to-south learning. Initially the learning forum engaged WPE teams across East Africa, but more countries have attended each year and from 2019 – 2021 the WPE learning forum brought together WPE colleagues from across the 35 countries in the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Latin America, Europe and the US.
