Policy and Advocacy

Working to end violence against women and girls requires political will. At the local level, the IRC seeks to empower women and girls to advocate for the changes they want in order to improve their lives.  The IRC’s global advocacy teams works with the international community to intensify efforts to prevent and respond to violence.
